The latest plantation site at Dolvi, located in Konkan region of Maharashtra is known for heavy rainfall. Even though the site is very difficult to reach because of the hilly area, the plantation at site is in full swing.
On 9th July, the teams of ‘Tri-party’ agreement – TERRE, Forest Department and JSW were gathered for plantation. The local communities engaged at work also joined the programme. Mr. R. S. Kadam - Chief Conservator of Forests (Thane), Mr. Manish Kumar - Deputy Conservator of Forest (Thane), Mr.Shyamkant Gaidhane - Head of Horticulture department (JSW) and Dr.Vinitaa Apte – Founder Director (TERRE) were presented for the programme. Mr.Kadam applauded TERRE’s enthusiasm and efforts to complete the plantation target on time. Till date 22,335 plants have been planted at Dolvi site.
