Pune, July 2018 :
In India, Van Mahotsav is celebrated in the month of July (usually in the first week) to create enthusiasm among masses for forest conservation and planting trees. Every year, the plantation is done with active participation of local communities, natives and different organizations. TERRE is engaged in plantation activities for last three years and has planted 1 lakh trees from 30th Jan 2015 to 31st July 2018.
As July is a favorable month for plantation as well as for the growth of plants, various corporate companies are initiating their efforts towards plantation every year as their corporate Social Responsibilities. TERRE along with these organizations have planted 19,150 trees in Mhalunge and 25,335 trees in Dolvi, achieving 44,485 trees in this year.
