Workshop on Roadmap for Implementing of SDG for civil society

The first ever workshop on Roadmap of SDG’s in Bangladesh is organized by JSW foundation in Collaboration with TERRE Policy Centre on Wednesday, 10th January 2018 at Dhaka, capital city of Bangladesh. Dr. S M Munjurul Hannan Khan, Additional Commissioner, MOEF Bangladesh, inaugurated the workshop with keynote address and explained with is dynamic approach for SDG’s. Speaking on this occasion Dr. Vinitaa Apte, President, TERRRE Policy Centre said “Climate Change is very big challenge for the global community and civil society is trying to work dedicatedly to fight with Climate Change.
Dr. Khan Explained the steps taken by Bangladesh government in the implementation and then appraise to the civil society and private sector for helping to implement the grass root level projects. Almost 20 civil Society peoples represented in this workshop. Mr. AKM Mamunur Rashid Khan, Climate change specialist, UNDP Bangladesh also present in the workshop and provides realistic approach and scenario of SDG’s implementing by UNDP in Bangladesh. Madam Rupa Dawane from JSW Foundation represented private sector roles. The workshop concluded with the information of Earth Care Awards which is the yearly award given away from JSW-Times of India in Coloration with TERRE Policy Centre and CEE.
