Seminar on bio-diversity in the central mountain ranges of India – Satpuda Mountains

Rajendra Shende, Chairman guided the Seminar on bio-diversity in the central mountain ranges of India – Satpuda Mountains on 26th August 2012. 200 experts on birds, spiders, and wild animals including tigers attended seminar. Older than Himalaya, Satpuda is full of biodiversity and known for tiger reserves. Can it be World Heritage Centre? The Seminar that took place on Jain Hills in Jalgaon, not far from Satpuda kicked of the indexing and valuing the bio diversity.

On the same day evening Mr. Chaitram Pawar was awarded Vasundhara Sanman Award for his work in small village Baripada, in Satpuda at the hands of Mr. Shende . Mr. Shende also delivered a public lecture on Western Ghats – Our World Heritage and opportunity for the sustainable development of the local community.
