TERRE Policy Centre celebrated national wildlife week in collaboration with Forest Department, Pune. TERRE had organized 2 small theme based theatre acts on 1st and 2nd October at Balagandharwa Kaladalan and Forest Department, Pune. Both the acts were performed by Dhyaas, Pune.
The first act, Maaldhok, was based on extinction of GIB- Great Indian Bustard. Great Indian Bustard is a grassland species. This act delivered the message that the bird, Great Indian Bustard has left in many few numbers and it is the time to protect them.
Vulture is very essential factor of environment as it cleans the surrounding. Unfortunately, the species is endangered. The second act was based on extinction of vulture. The performance emphasized the importance of vulture and need of their conservation.
