The prestigious Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Young Research Fellowship 2024–25 Virtual Award Ceremony was successfully conducted on 29th July 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM (IST). Organized by TERRE Policy Centre, the event honored young researchers making impactful contributions in science and environmental fields.
Dr. Nisha Mendiratta, Executive Director of the Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), was the Chief Guest. In her keynote address, she praised the innovative spirit of the youth and their role in shaping a sustainable future through scientific research.
Dr. Vinita Apte, Founder Director of TERRE Policy Centre, delivered special remarks, emphasizing the importance of this fellowship in carrying forward the vision of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. She applauded the commitment and creativity of the awardees and encouraged continued excellence in research.
The ceremony featured the inauguration of the Research Journal of the Awardees, coordinated by Project Leader Sagar Lakhotiya, who also provided essential technical support to ensure the seamless execution of the event.
Project Leader Sneha Bhosale efficiently handled the sutrasanchalan (anchoring) of the ceremony, ensuring smooth transitions and maintaining the energy of the program.
At the conclusion, Project Coordinator Gauri Bidkar proposed a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and team members who contributed to the success of the event.
The event drew participation from young researchers, educators, and science enthusiasts across India, who joined virtually through Zoom and the QR code provided.
