On 18th July 2024 (Wednesday), the Global Women Network for Nature (GWNN) held its monthly meeting, symbolizing a significant advancement in our dedication to environmental stewardship. This event united passionate individuals along with our GWNN members. On behalf of Dr.Vinitaa Apte, Founder & Director of TERRE Policy Centre, Ms. Sneha Bhonsle- Karade, Project Leader of TERRE Policy Centre, warmly welcomed our distinguished guests and GWNN members.We were honoured to have Dr. Chandrima Sinha, Program Manager (Planning and Monitoring) of the Nature Environment and Wildlife Society and a respected member of GWNN, as our guest speaker. Her presentation on the topic "Women Stewardship for Shaping the Future of Agriculture Through Preserving Native Seeds in the Sundarbans" focused on women’s participation, engagement, stewardship, leadership, and networking, as well as building resilience and climate adaptation in the Sundarbans. The presentation was enlightening and inspiring, emphasizing the significant impact of women and their individual and community-based actions. The meeting concluded with a Q&A session, where our guest satisfactorily addressed the members' queries.
