TERRE Policy Centre Conducts Eco Club Awareness Lecture on “Under the Waves: Discovering the Magic of Ocean Life”

TERRE Policy Centre conducted an engaging Eco Club awareness lecture at Sevasadan School, Pune on 20 August 2026 for primary students from Standards 3 and 4. The session was held from 10:30 am to 11:30 am with the objective of introducing young students to the fascinating world of oceans and encouraging them to develop a sense of responsibility towards marine ecosystems.

The session, titled “Under the Waves: Discovering the Magic of Ocean Life,” introduced students to the incredible diversity of marine life and the importance of oceans in sustaining life on Earth. Students learned about different marine organisms, ocean ecosystems, the importance of clean oceans, and the need to protect marine biodiversity.

The session was conducted by Senior Officer Kshitija Apte and Mrunmayee Apte, who explained the topic in an interactive, engaging, and student-friendly manner. Through simple explanations and discussions, the students explored the wonders of underwater life and understood how human activities can affect marine ecosystems.

The interactive session encouraged students to appreciate ocean biodiversity and adopt environmentally responsible habits such as reducing plastic use, avoiding littering, and keeping water bodies clean.

Through its Eco Club awareness initiatives, TERRE Policy Centre continues to nurture environmental awareness among young learners and inspire them to become responsible stewards of nature and its diverse ecosystems.
