TERRE Policy Centre Conducts Eco Club Awareness Lecture on “The Mighty Bee: Tiny Workers, Global Impact”

TERRE Policy Centre conducted an engaging Eco Club awareness lecture at Sevasadan School, Pune on 17 August 2026, for secondary students from Standards 5 to 7. The session was held from 10:30 am to 11:30 am as part of TERRE Policy Centre’s efforts to create environmental awareness and encourage young students to understand and protect nature.

The session, titled “The Mighty Bee: Tiny Workers, Global Impact,” focused on the important role of bees in maintaining ecological balance. The students learned about pollination, bee biodiversity, the importance of bees for food production, and the threats faced by bee populations. The lecture also highlighted how protecting bees and other pollinators contributes to a healthy and sustainable environment.

The session was conducted by Senior Officer Kshitija Apte and Mrunmayee Apte, who explained the topic in an interactive and student-friendly manner. Students actively participated in the discussion and gained insights into how even tiny creatures like bees play a significant role in sustaining ecosystems and human life.

The awareness lecture encouraged students to become more observant of biodiversity around them and inspired them to take simple steps towards protecting pollinators and conserving the environment.

Through such Eco Club initiatives, TERRE Policy Centre continues to empower students with environmental knowledge and inspire the next generation to become responsible environmental stewards.
