A great start for new year by an interactive session organized by TERRE Policy Centre, on the topic 'Importance of Urban Forestry' on 7th January 2017 at 'Smritivan', Warje, Pune. Mr. Mahesh Bhavsar, ACF, Forest Dept.- Pune was the speaker for the program.
Warje Urban Forestry area, once a bare land now has developed into a forestry through the efforts of TERRE Policy Centre in collaboration with Forest department. This session was organized to interact with the natives of Warje area regarding the concept behind the Urban Forestry Development and its importance.
Many people from nearby area oftenly come there for walk. They not only appreciated forest dept for this activity, but also discussed their problems with Forest Officer. The interactive session was successfully conducted and TERRE received huge response.
The year 2025 ended with a devastating experience of the Wrath of Nature. Let us use as many eco-friendly styles as possible in our daily lives in the coming new year, which will help to save our Mother Earth and ultimately save the life on earth.
