TERRE Policy Centre was glad to announce a successful tree plantation at Mhalunge site. The tree plantation was done under the collaboration with Tata Motors and Persistent Foundation as a CSR partners.
TERRE has successfully planted around 16000 trees in 32.68 hectares at Mhalunge site, which is situated near Pune. Initially in the year 2017, this land was a barren hill area, which comes under the Maharashtra Forest Department and now it is converted into green forest. The tree plantation project was started in July 2017 and presently, it is a forest of 12- 16 feet height resourceful plants species.
"Everyone is talking about how much the climate is changing, but when it comes to taking action, everyone points to the government. But I believe everyone must take the steps to rectify our mistakes. The damage done by our desires.
We should save the environment by adopting an eco-friendly lifestyle. On the occasion of World Environment Day, i.e. 5th June, should be celebrated by planting trees and resolving not to use plastic.....!!"
