On August 23rd, 2024, TERRE Policy Centre, in collaboration with TATA Motors, conducted a successful tree plantation drive at Kesanand, Taluka Haveli, and District Pune. Approximately 100 volunteers took part in the event, planting around 1000 trees, including both fruiting and indigenous species. Indigenous trees were chosen for their role in enhancing local biodiversity and supporting native wildlife. Fruiting trees were also planted to provide a sustainable food source for local species, helping them thrive and ensuring their continued presence in the area. This initiative aims to foster a healthier ecosystem and strengthen the environmental resilience of the region.
