Site Visits: Inspiring Eco-Restoration Efforts

We’re excited to share the story of our site visits arranged as a part of Coastal and Biodiversity conference on October 23, 2024, where attendees experienced TERRE Policy Centre and local communities' eco-restoration efforts in the Western Ghats and coastal areas.

Two significant projects were showcased during the conference were site visits were arranged:

  1. Washi Coastal Resilience Project: A collaborative initiative by NEWS, CReNIO, SaciWATERs, and TERRE Policy Centre, demonstrating coastal resilience building.
  2. Tribal Museum Biodiversity Community Development & Eco-restoration Project: Integrating community development with biodiversity conservation at Kodit.

Tree Plantation Activity: A Commitment to Sustainability

During the visit, a symbolic tree plantation activity was conducted by esteemed guests:
