TERRE Policy Centre successfully conducted a special awareness and orientation session under its TERRE Green Stewards Programme at ELITE SCHOOL on 24 July 2026. The interactive session was attended by students of Classes VI to VIII, who enthusiastically participated in activities focused on environmental conservation and sustainable living.
The session was led by Ms. Kshitija Apte and Ms. Gauri Bidkar from TERRE Policy Centre. They introduced students to the objectives of the TERRE Green Stewards Programme, highlighting the importance of individual responsibility in protecting the environment through simple yet impactful actions such as waste reduction, tree plantation, water conservation, biodiversity protection, and sustainable lifestyle choices.
The speakers encouraged students to become Green Stewards by adopting environmentally responsible habits and inspiring their families and communities to contribute towards a greener and more sustainable future. The session also featured engaging discussions, interactive activities, and practical tips that motivated students to become active participants in environmental conservation.
To recognize and encourage their enthusiastic participation, attractive gifts were presented to the participating students. The students responded with great excitement and expressed their commitment to taking positive environmental actions both at school and at home.
The TERRE Green Stewards Programme aims to nurture environmentally conscious young citizens by equipping them with the knowledge, values, and leadership skills required to address today's environmental challenges. The programme at ELITE SCHOOL marked another successful step towards creating a generation of responsible and informed environmental ambassadors.
TERRE Policy Centre extends its sincere gratitude to the management, principal, teachers, and students of ELITE SCHOOL for their warm hospitality and enthusiastic participation in making the programme a meaningful and successful initiative.
