On June 23, 2024, TERRE Policy Centre organized a tree plantation drive at Morarji Desai School in Gundlupet, Karnataka. A total of 260 indigenous trees were planted during this event. Tree plantation drives like this are crucial for enhancing green cover, promoting biodiversity, and combating climate change by sequestering carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. They also contribute to improving local air quality and providing habitats for wildlife.
