On 1st July 2024, the TERRE Policy Centre, in collaboration with TATA Autocomp Systems Limited (TACO) and the Inner Wheel Club, Khadki, conducted a significant plantation drive at Smritiwan, Warje, Pune. The event aimed to contribute to global reforestation efforts, mitigate climate change, and repair damaged ecosystems. Notable attendees included Dr. Shobhana Palekar (District Chairman), Ms. Mamta Gupta (IIW President), Ms. Sunita Jain (Association President), and Ms. Sheetal Vohra (Club Secretary). The drive saw the enthusiastic participation of over 20 volunteers who planted indigenous trees, enhancing local biodiversity and promoting environmental sustainability.
