TERRE Policy Centre Conducts Tree Plantation and Volunteering Drive at Kodit Gairan

TERRE Policy Centre successfully conducted a large-scale Tree Plantation Drive and volunteering activity at Kodit Gairan from 2 to 22 September 2026, with the support of TMGSL, TMCVL and TMPVL under the CSR initiative of Tata Motors.

Around 200 volunteers, including employees, union leaders, HR and CSR teams, actively participated in the initiative. The activities included tree plantation, supporting and caring for planted trees, and digitally tagging trees to enable their identification and monitoring.

As part of the programme, TERRE Policy Centre implemented a Miyawaki forest plantation model, focusing on diverse indigenous species to create a resilient and biodiverse green ecosystem. The initiative aims to enhance biodiversity, improve soil quality, increase green cover, support local ecosystems and contribute to long-term climate resilience.

The active participation of volunteers demonstrated the importance of collaborative efforts in ecological restoration and environmental conservation. TERRE Policy Centre extends its sincere appreciation to TMGSL, TMCVL, TMPVL, Tata Motors’ HR and CSR teams, and all the volunteers for their valuable contribution towards creating sustainable green spaces at Kodit Gairan.
