On the occasion of World Ozone Day, 16th September 2015, Smokeless cook stove were distributed by TERRE Policy Centre in collaboration with Envirofit Stoves, among the local villager of Bhugaon village near Pune city, Maharashtra.
‘In India, around 800 million people are suffered by indoor air pollution especially in rural areas. So the environment friendly cook stove reduces the overall air contamination by 80%’.Envirofit officials said.
Dr. Vinita Apte, President of TERRE Policy Centre along with the team was present on the occasion. Officials of Envirofit Stoves demonstrated the use of cookstoves to the people.
