Mr. Mahesh Gavaskar, age around 55 years, Pune based Chartered Accountant is the Managing Partner of MSDN & Associate. He founded the firm in 1985 as a sole proprietorship and thereafter converted into partnership consisting of Four partners. He believes in serving the clients with loyalty, professional ethics and professional integrity. His subtle expertise in providing practical solutions leads to value enhancement for our clients. Thus the work culture of the firm is based on the principle of commitment to client objectives without compromising the mandatory compliances. The firm renders services in the field of audit and taxation.
Earlier he had served with Kirloskar group company as ‘Manager – Taxation’ and then in Kalyani Group as ‘Manager – MIS’.
He has completed his Master Degree from University of Pune. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and also an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

He is having a rich experience of around three decades in management and financial consulting, taxation, auditing. His key areas are financial consulting, business valuations and international taxation. Participated as one of the consultants for raising Private Equity and drafting of the related documents from India Industrial Growth Fund limited. The company got the funds and now is in the process of getting listed. A similar task was entrusted to him by a German company for the takeover of Indian company.
He belongs to teacher’s family. His father, Late Dr. K.M. Gavaskar was a lecturer in Economics in B.M. College of Commerce affiliated to the University of Pune and later became vice principal of the college. His mother Late Mrs. S. K. Gavaskar was a lecturer in Hindi in the same college. Brother Dr. Umesh Gavaskar was also lecturer in Statistics in U. S. A.
His family consists of wife and two daughters. Wife, Mrs. Smita is a home maker, elder daughter studying M.S. (Ophthalmology) and younger daughter Isha is studying for her pursuing CA course.
Considering, his experience in banking and finance, he was co-opted as an Expert Director in Vidya Sahakari Bank Limited in 2007. He was a Vice Chairman of the bank during the period 2011-2015. The bank has gross business of around Rs.1300 crores. This bank is established by teachers in 1972.
Considering his interest in social activity, he was elected as a member of Professional Development Committee of W.I.R.C. (Western India Regional Council) in 2006 and again co-opted as member of Research Committee in 2016.
He had also been a Chairman / Secretary / Treasurer of residential co-operative society consisting of around 500 flats in Pune during the period of 2005 to 2013.
