TERRE celebrated 'Earth day', a global annual event for the environment from 19th April to 22nd April 2019. On this occasion, TERRE in association with Bank of Maharashtra and P.N. Gadgil & Sons organized a four-day free PUC check campaign at Abhiruchi Mall, Narayan Peth, Riverside road and Shivajinagar in Pune city.
The objective of this campaign was to aware people about air pollution and to keep a check on vehicles that have high gas emissions. The campaign was led by Mr. Ankit Gaurav, Project Leader TERRE and Mr. Saurabh Kelkar, Intern TERRE. People from different areas of Pune showed their support for this initiative by checking 1057 vehicles within four days.
"The relation of human beings with the environment is very natural, as he can not live without it. But because of the disturbance of human beings is now beyond certain limits and that's the reason natural balance of the environment gets hampered, and we are facing climate change. Humans have to balance their actions and return back the balance of the environment to live with it....!!"
